Houston -- Electronicycle Inc., a Gardner, Mass.-based electronics recycler, has joined Recycle America Alliance (RAA). RAA is the recently formed subsidiary of Waste Management Inc. devoted to consolidating and increasing the capacity of the 80 recycling plants the merger has corralled. Electronicycle will provide demanufacturing service for materials collected or managed by Recycle America Alliance in Delaware, New Jersey, Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont.
Electronicycle is an official cathode ray tube (CRT) recycling contractor for Massachusetts, which established the first CRT waste ban in April 2000. The company now manages electronics for dozens of states and local governments and specializes in TV and computer recycling programs. Waste Management currently has more than 60 facilities nationwide that handle electronics recycling.
