Dublin, Calif. -– Four new trucks that use compressed natural gas as an alternative to diesel fuel have rolled onto the streets of Dublin, 35 miles east of San Francisco. The new trucks are one of many environment-friendly programs instituted in Alameda County, which has budgeted $17 million for waste diversion. Among the city's projects arean oil-recycling program that is free for residents and, later this year, officials will hold an electronic waste (e-waste) recycling event.
