EPA Steps-Up E-cycling in Mid-Atlantic States

Philadelphia – The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has announced that its year-long program, "eCycling," prevented more than 21,000 cathode ray tubes, CRTs, from going into landfills. Mid-Atlantic state environmental agencies worked with major electronics manufacturers on the pilot that collected 2,100 tons of computers, monitors, keyboards and other electronics from 45 drop-off events held at locations throughout the region, the EPA says.
