EPA Seeks Border Projects

San Francisco --The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has announced the availability of $1.2 million in grants for environmental projects along the U.S.-Mexico border. The agency currently is seeking proposals to support the U.S. Mexico Border 2012 Program, which aims to protect public health along the 2,000-mile border by decreasing waste, air, water and soil pollution and lowering the risk of exposure to pesticides and other chemicals.
