Grand Junction, Colo. -- The Fifth Annual Arid Climate Symposium, held from Sept. 4-6, 2002, has announced a call for presentations. One-page abstracts should be on the following topics: arid landfill design, innovative cover solutions, gas migration/air quality, local policy issues, regulatory obstacles/enhancements, rural disposal anomalies, and successful integrated waste management systems in rural communities.
