ATA Files Final Appeal in Mich. Interstate Commerce Case

Alexandria, Va. — The American Trucking Associations (ATA) has filed its final appeal brief challenging Michigan's $100 per truck intrastate regulatory fee. Because the fee is imposed on all trucks engaged in intrastate commerce — including trucks that engage primarily in interstate commerce — ATA argues that the fee affects interstate commerce and thus violates the Commerce Clause of the U.S. Constitution.
