Sony partners with consumers to promote electronic recycling

Sony Electronics recently introduced the “SonyStyle Notebook PC Trade-In Program,” which allows consumers to aid in the company’s recycling efforts while earning credit towards new product purchases. Users may trade in their old notebook PCs at Sony or SonyStyle store locations, or online at http://www.sonystyle.com. An online application allows consumers to estimate the worth of their used computers before participating in the program. As a member of the Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation (RBRC), Sony also encourages consumers to recycle their used rechargeable batteries and old cell phones through RBRC’s recycling program, “Call2Recycle.”
