RecycleBank Expands into Suburban Atlanta

Households in Alpharetta, Ga., and Peachtree City, Ga., are now participating in New York-based RecycleBank’s rewards-for-recycling program. Phoenix-based Republic Services joined with RecycleBank to implement the program in 15,000 homes in Alpharetta and 3,200 homes in Peachtree City. Republic provides single-stream recycling to the households.

RecycleBank rewards households with points based on the amount they recycle. The points are redeemable at retailers, restaurants and grocery stores. “Republic recognizes the value this program offers for the residents in Alpharetta and Peachtree City,” said Republic Services General Manager Ken Dillingham in a press release. “Recycling is an important component of Alpharetta and Peachtree City’s solid waste plans, and RecycleBank’s meaningful incentives will help to save resources, ensuring a greener future for Fulton and Fayette Counties.”
