Georgia Natural Gas Provider Uses Landfill Gas

Georgia Natural Gas (GNG), a natural gas provider in the state, has announced that it obtains recycled natural gas from a landfill and distributes the gas to end users.

GNG began purchasing the landfill gas from the Live Oak Landfill in DeKalb County, Ga., in early 2009. The landfill produces enough natural gas to fuel about 15,000 homes. GNG has exclusive rights to purchase all of the recycled natural gas produced at the landfill through 2011.
