Waste Industries Posts 2Q Net Income Of $2.4M

Raleigh, N.C.-based Waste Industries USA Inc. reported a net income of $2.4 million on $77.3 million in revenue for second-quarter 2005. During the same period in 2004, the firm posted a net income of $3.1 million on $73.2 in revenue.

For the first six months of 2005, Waste Industries reported a net income of $5.2 million on $146.6 million in revenue. During the first half of last year, the company posted a net income of $5.9 million on $141.1 million in revenue.
