Waste Connections Reports Third Quarter Net Income of $22.5 Million

Folsom, Calif. — Waste Connections Inc. has reported a third-quarter net income of $22.5 million, or $.46 per diluted share, on revenues of $165.4 million. During the same period in 2003, the company posted a net income of $17 million, or $.37 per diluted share, on revenues of $146.2 million.

For the first nine months of 2004, Waste Connections has reported a net income of $57.8 million, or $1.20 per diluted share, on revenues of $475.3 million. During the same period in 2003, the company posted a net income of $48.3 million, or $1.06 per diluted share, on revenues of $413.5 million.
