The Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA), Silver Spring, Md., has announced the locations of the 2011, 2012 and 2014 WASTECON conventions. The association has struck a deal with Gaylord Hotels for convention accommodations.
In 2011, the show will be held Aug. 23-25 in Nashville, Tenn. WASTECON 2012 will be held Aug. 15-17 in Washington, and the 2014 convention will take place Aug. 26-28 in Dallas. Site locations for the 2013 show are still being reviewed. In 2010, WASTECON will co-locate with the American Public Works Association’s International Public Works Congress and Exposition in Boston, Aug. 15-17.
"By negotiating a three-year package with the Gaylord Hotels, we were able to secure very affordable hotel rates for our attendees and exhibitors at three first- class facilities in exciting locations," said John Skinner, executive director and CEO of SWANA, in a press release. "These full-service hotels provide guest rooms, meeting and exhibit space, restaurants and recreational facilities all under one roof.”
