SWACO Triples Columbus, Ohio, Recycling Drop-Off Locations

The Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio (SWACO) has announced it will triple the number of recycling drop boxes in Columbus, Ohio. The new program, in conjunction with the city, its schools and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, will add another 129 locations, which brings the total to 190 in Franklin County. In addition to the boxes already placed in area schools, the new boxes will be placed on city street corners and throughout neighborhoods.

“We believe more families will recycle if we make it free and easy, and that’s what these new neighborhood drop locations are all about—letting parents and children get green close to home,” said Michael Coleman, mayor of Columbus, in a press release.
