Ohio Trash Imports Continue To Rise

The amount of out-of-state trash flowing into Ohio continues to grow. According to The Associated Press (AP), state statistics show that the state received more than 3.1 million tons of out-of-state trash in 2004. In 2003, Ohio received 2.5 million tons of solid waste from outside of its borders. According to the AP, that’s the biggest one-year increase since 1989.
