Kathy Callahan Appointed Acting Administrator of EPA's Region 2

New York — Kathy Callahan has been named acting administrator of the Washington, D.C.-based Environmental Protection Agency’s Region 2 office, which oversees federal environmental initiatives in New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. Callahan, who previously was the deputy regional administrator in the office, replaces Jane Kenny, who announced her resignation last week.

Before joining Waste Age as the magazine's managing editor, he was an associate editor for American City & County and for National Real Estate Investor.

Prior to joining Penton, Stephen worked as a reporter for The Marietta Daily Journal and The Fulton County Daily Report, both of which are located in metro Atlanta.

Stephen earned a BA in History from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tenn.
