Dallas — Two months in, the city of Dallas’ yearlong recycling pilot program is faring well. According to a report in The Dallas Morning News, all four neighborhoods in the program have the exceeded the household participation rate goal of 30 percent. The participation rates range from 46 percent to 72 percent.
The city began the pilot program in August with the goal of getting roughly 1,500 city households of regularly recycling, according to the paper. The city has a recycling rate of 2 percent, the paper says.
