Flint, Mich., Fire Stations No Longer Accepting Water Bottle and Filter Recycling

Residents of Flint, Mich., are no longer able to bring their used water filter cartridges or empty water bottles to local fire stations for recycling. The residents must recycle these items at one of the five local community water resource sites.

MLive has more:

Recycling of used water filter cartridges and empty water bottles must now be done at community water resource sites, and not fire stations.

"If you have empty water bottles and used cartridges, don't hesitate to drop them off at a community water resource Site," said Capt. Chris Kelenske of the Michigan State Police. "We have set up five convenient locations to provide residents with water supplies. Each site is also equipped to accept recycling."
