Waste Connections Inc. said it has completed its acquisition of two Alaskan waste operations.
The Woodlands, Texas-based company said in a news release it has completed the deals buying Alaska Pacific Environmental Services Anchorage LLC and Alaska Green Waste Solutions LLC, together known as Alaska Waste.
The Anchorage-based firm is the largest privately-owned solid waste company in Alaska with annual revenue of about $65 million. The operation provides solid waste collection, recycling and composting services in Anchorage, the Mat-Su Valley, Fairbanks, the Kenai Peninsula and Kodiak Island.
At the time the deal was originally announced last summer, Waste Connections Chairman and CEO Ron Mittelstaedt said in a press release the Alaskan company had doubled revenue in the past five years.
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
