Bobcat North America Acquires Russo and Sons, Inc.

Sarasota, Fla.-based solid waste holding company Bobcat North America (BNA) has acquired Ocoee, Fla.-based construction and demolition waste hauler Russo and Sons, Inc. for an undisclosed amount.

“The Russo business is a great way to expand BNA’s current operations in Sarasota, Fort Myers and other communities in southwest Florida,” said BNS President Billy Dietrich in a statement. “This acquisition is an important part of BNA’s strategic growth plan over the next several years.”

Mike and Marilyn Russo, the former owners of Russo and Sons, will remain employed with the business under BNA’s ownership.

“We are very pleased to become a part of the BNA family,” said Mike Russo in a statement. “BNA’s focus on excellent customer service, creating a safe and ethical workplace and promoting employee initiative is right in line with our values.”
