A coalition of 10 environmentally progressive local California governments launched www.greencitiescalifornia.org to track green legislation and policies in the state.

Phoenix-based Republic Services announced that two of its safety films have each received a CINE Golden Eagle Award. The films are "Our Safety Is in Your Hands," which is a pedestrian safety awareness film, and "Defensive Driving — the Focus Six."
