Otis Mosley, a 51-year-old sanitation worker in the Town of Warrenton, Va., has been working in the waste and recycling industry for 30 years and is getting ready to retire in June. Throughout his career, Mosley has been faced with a number of challenges, such as picking up heavy garbage bags in the heat, disposing of deer carcasses and working in the rain. While he has a passion for his career, he feels that it’s time for him to do something else with his life.

They loathe the heat, the riper-than-normal odors and the higher volume of garbage.
“The worst,” says Town of Warrenton garbage truck driver Otis Mosley, who will retire in June after working 30 years for the municipality. “You got all those heavy bags of grass and the sun beaming down on you.”
