Metro Vancouver Suggests Tipping Fee Break for Large Haulers

A Metro Vancouver staff report has put some numbers behind the region’s consideration of tipping fee breaks for large commercial haulers, who have increasingly been hauling more waste to Washington.

On Thursday, a waste committee will debate the proposal of cutting tipping fees from $109 to $80 per tonne for loads of up to nine tonnes. That’s about a 26 per cent reduction.
