Waste reduction is top of mind for consumers and industry leaders alike, especially with China's waste import ban going into effect by the end of 2017 and many landfills across the nation nearing capacity. And to help these consumers and industry leaders reduce waste and increase recycling, organizations and technology companies are launching effective and efficient waste and recycling apps and food waste reduction apps. These apps help users manage their waste and recycling, find nearby pick-up or drop-off locations, rescue food that would otherwise go to waste and increase their knowledge about what can and cannot be recycled.
