The industry’s public companies posted strong results in 2015 and that streak continued in the first quarter of 2016 with strong operational results.

Volumes and pricing are up and most of the firms have posted healthy free cash flow numbers. There are also changes afoot amongst these giants. Waste Connections and Progressive Waste are close to completing their proposed merger. Meanwhile, Advanced Disposal is attempting to figure out when to undertake its postponed IPO.

It’s with this context that we take a take a look at the total compensation for 15 of the industry's CEOs in 2015. The numbers were reported as part of company annual reports and proxy filings.
