Advanced Disposal to Offer Residential Curbside E-Waste Collection Services in Yorkville, Ill.

Advanced Disposal will begin offering Yorkville, Ill., residents e-waste collection services as part of its new seven-year contract with the city. Residents will receive the e-waste collection services in addition to their waste and recycling services at no additional cost, but large or hard-to-handle items could result in a fee.

E-waste collection will begin on May 1 when the contract goes into effect. All household items will be collected from the curb, but business items aren’t included in the services.

As a part of a new seven-year contract with waste and refuse collection service provider Advanced Disposal, Yorkville residents will have electronics recycling available at no extra cost.

Yorkville City Council entered into that agreement at their regular meeting last week, which Mayor Gary Golinski says will start immediately.

The city's new contract goes into effect on May 1st.
