Clean Harbors Contract Clears Board Approval

Clean Harbor Environmental Services has been awarded a three-year contract to continue its involvement in Washington County’s household hazardous waste (HHW) program.

The county has contracted with Clean Harbors since 2011. The company provides professional hazardous waste management for activities at the Environmental Center in Woodbury.

The company provides service and staffing at the Environmental Center, according to Washington County Senior Environmental Program Manager Jeff Travis. Clean Harbors provides services to receive and package HHW, electronics and recyclables. It also provides site management at the Environmental Center, and ensures that the facility meets regulatory compliance and safety standards.
