Baldwin County, Ga., Commissioners Approve New Solid Waste Contract

The Baldwin County, Ga., Board of Commissioners approved a new solid waste contract with Advanced Disposal Services, which will increase residents’ bills from $13.50 to $15 starting the next bill cycle.

Under the new five-year solid waste contract, which will run from October 15, 2017, until October 14, 2022, Advanced Disposal is responsible for providing a 95-gallon rollout cart to all residents and curbside collection services for household garbage once a week.

The Union-Recorder has more details:

A new solid waste contract was approved by members of the Baldwin County Board of Commissioners at a Tuesday night meeting.

Back in June, commissioners proposed an increase from $13.50 to $15 for residential garbage services by Advanced Disposal Services Middle Ga., LLC, but the fee increase was to take effect pending a new solid waste contract between the county and the company.

Residents will see the new rate increase on their next bill.
