Massachusetts Tri-County Recycling Seeking Permission to Accept Up to 750 Tons of Garbage Daily

An industrial waste collection company is seeking the Board of Health's permission to accept large quantities of garbage at a facility they operate in town.

The planning board has previously determined the 9-acre parcel of land the company uses is not zoned for that kind of operation, saying a zoning change approved by town meeting would need to occur to allow it.

The Board of Health will convene a site assignment hearing Thursday at the request of Tri-County Recycling, Inc.
