Bunn Box Receives $419K from Indiana Recycling Market Development Program

The construction and demolition business will use the funds to expand operations.

Bunn Box, a Fort Wayne, Ind.-based construction and demolition company, has received a grant for $419,000 from the Recycling Market Development Program, which is sponsored by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management.

Bunn Box is one of 12 Indiana organizations to be awarded, with $1 million being doled out in total.

The Fort Wayne News-Sentinel has more information:

Bunn Box, which has a recycle and transfer station at 6301 Ardmore Ave., will receive $419,698. The money will be used to expand operations and improve efficiencies with the construction and demolition business. The money will go toward a new crusher, stationary platform scales and a front-end loader with scales, according to the release.

Projected amounts to be diverted from landfills include 150,000 tons of concrete, 2,500 tons of rebar, 2,500 tons of metal, 1,000 tons of wood and 480 tons of cardboard.
