Safety Matters! Our Company Culture

The word “culture” means something different to every company, but at Trucks & Parts we live our culture through our daily actions.

One of our top priorities at Trucks & Parts is the safety of our employees. We strive to create a culture that promotes workplace safety and engages our employees into working safe. By working safe this allows our employees to be more efficient in their daily tasks and to work together as a team to produce the best possible product for our customers. This also comes at a huge savings for our company, as we have drastically reduced workers compensation costs which allows us to pass off these savings to our customers.

Our safety program is very active with required monthly safety training for all employees, our annual Safety Awareness Week, a Safety Committee and our quarterly Safety BBQ to celebrate zero accidents in the workplace. Our training sessions always include a hands on activity to ensure that our employees truly understand what they are learning. We are also fortunate to have a fantastic partnership with the University of South Florida’s OSHA Consultation Program, USF Safety Florida. Each year we voluntarily invite USF Safety Florida to come onsite to review every aspect of our Occupational Health and Safety Program, from our Safety manual to a complete inspection of our facilities. This partnership has continued to strengthen our program by identifying hazards before an accident might happen and bringing new ideas and best practices into our company. Our management team is also very active with local safety organizations and attending meetings and trainings to stay up to date with safety topics and OSHA regulations.

While we make every effort to be proactive with safety at Trucks & Parts, our biggest goal and what we constantly try to instill upon our employees is that we not only want them to be safe at work, we also want to make sure they get home safe to their families.
