Pallet Recycle Building in Michigan Destroyed in Fire

As bad as it was, it could have been worse.

At least eight fire departments and as many as 100 firefighters fought a stubborn blaze that destroyed the cement block office building and production facility at Pallet Recycle, 2740 S. Pere Marquette Hwy., Friday night. They were still fighting the fire as of press deadline around 12:45 a.m. today (Saturday, March 28)  but had it under control.

By 1:30 a.m. the fire was down enough that some departments were being allowed to leave. The last of the departments left at about 6:30 this morning.
