Albany, N.Y., to Roll Out Automated Recycling Pilot Program

The program will make use of advanced recycling trucks with an arm to lift and empty 64-gallon residential recycling carts.

Today, the City of Albany, N.Y., is rolling out a new automated recycling pilot program that will service approximately 2,000 homes throughout the city. With this new program, advanced recycling trucks equipped with an arm will lift and empty 64-gallon recycling carts from residential driveways.
