Sony to Zero Waste by 2050

Sony Corp. has announced a goal of reducing its "environmental impact to zero by 2050." Included in the electronics manufacturer's plan, titled "The Road to Zero," is a goal of reducing its waste generation by 50 percent by 2016 (when compared with fiscal year 2000) and reducing the packaging waste of incoming parts by 16 percent by 2016 (when compared with fiscal year 2008).
